Tarim Mummies – Evidence of Europeans in Asia before historical record?

Throughout the beginning of the 20th century, several ex-plorers made fascinating discoveries of mummies in the south-eastern edge of the Tarim Basin in China. The dis-covery of mummies is nothing new, but these mummies had notable differences from the typical physical features of people from that particular geographic region. Some of the mummies were tall, had long noses, and red and white hair indicating that they were Europeans, yet the mummies over 2,000 years old. After several DNA tests it has been shown that the DNA sequence of the mummies is characteristic of DNA found in the area of today’s Eastern Europe, particu-larly Ukraine.
